Navyk is located in eastern Romania in the city of Galati. Situated on the northern bank of the river Danube, Galati has a long tradition of shipbuilidng and incorporates the biggest shipyard of Romania. Thanks to this maritime heritage there is a lot of specialised knowledge available at shipyards, design and engineering offices, suppliers and the naval faculty. The city has two towing tank facilities.
